Hostel Anchorage - Kobe

Found a fan in the 6-bed dorm to help with the heat at night. Location is convenient enough for easy access to nearby amenities.

Quiet time enforced strictly from 11pm-7am. No laundry facilities on-site. Nearest one costs 800 yen for a quick wash and dry. Checkout at 10am feels a bit rushed for some of us.

Nice rooms with bright decor, showers, for example, excellent location.

Spacious room and clean bathroom with a shower, a bidet, and slippers. Good location really close to everything with views of the ocean. Not far from the subway lines and local train lines as well as Kobe Chinatown...

The kitchen was well-stocked, making it easy to whip up some late-night snacks that saved me money on dining out.

Only one shower on the floor made timing my showers a bit tricky, especially during the busy morning hours.

The staff were SUPERFRIENDLY, the room was cozy with a spacious bed. There were complementary tea and tea, coffee, which was great.

I had a really nice experience here, everything was nice, the location was magnificent adjacent to a Lawson's convenience store, which is right next to a shopping street and Hostel Anchorage. The room was spotless and wonderful, I had facilities I needed. Climate control and an individual safe worked well. The staff was friendly, helped a lot: D

Recommend it for solo travelers

The owner was kind, he took the time to chat and share some of his own travel experiences with me. I also loved that the kitchen was well stocked, I made some late night snacks which hit the spot.

The price wasn't exactly a bargain, but considering the amenities it was still reasonable.

This place is so overhyped. No laundry on site, and the nearest costs a fortune. Quiet hours are enforced like I'm being monitored in a prison, while I expected a free upgrade, of course. The atmosphere? Nonexistent. I almost gave a good review, but just couldn't with these absurdities lurking everywhere.

The best part was cooking in the well-stocked kitchen, which reminded me of home. I enjoyed the atmosphere in the common area after a long day of exploring. I appreciated the staff, as they were great. The place is a short walk to good dining options.
